"Sisterhood is the essence of all the wisdom of the ages, distilled into a single word. You cannot see sisterhood, neither can you hear it nor taste it. But you can feel it a hundred times a day. It is a pat on the back, a smile of encouragement. It's someone to share with, to celebrate your achievements."

One of the things that the sisters of Alpha Xi Delta cherish most is the bond we have with one another. We strengthen our sisterhood through weekly events ranging from movie nights to yoga classes, or shopping downtown. We also grow stronger as sisters through everyday activities, such as helping one another study for a midterm or grabbing coffee after a long day of classes.

Our sisterhood in Alpha Xi Delta does not hinder our performance at South Dakota State University; it enhances it. The sisterhood we build and the sisters we gain throughout our years at SDSU will last not only four years, but a lifetime. For us, sisterhood lasts for life in our chapter. Through love, support, and encouragement we are with each other through it all.
