Kristen Giefer

President

I am a junior Ecology and Environmental Science major with an environmental education emphasis, also studying botany from Rochester, MN. I enjoy participating in intramurals, and attending jacks football and basketball games. My hobbies include backpacking, kayaking, camping, and paddle boarding in northern Minnesota. I also enjoy cuddling up and binge watching Stranger Things and Friends. As President, I hope to advocate for Alpha Xi Delta, and help sisters realize their potential both in the chapter and in their lives.

Becca Peick

Member Development Vice President

Hi! I'm a junior Hospitality Management major from Apple Valley, Minnesota. I initiated in fall 2015, and served on the executive team last year as the Recording Secretary. I'm so excited to continue to lead our chapter and to develop members that prioritize wellness in every aspect of their lives. Outside of Alpha Xi Delta, I'm involved in the American Sign Language Club and love trying out new coffee shops and visiting the humane society!

Tori Peta

Panhellenic Delegate

Hello! My name is Tori Peta. I was born and raised in Mitchell, South Dakota. I am a Sophomore double majoring in Pre-Pharmacy and Spanish. I am also involved in Kappa Epsilon Chi and State-A-Thon. Some of my favorite subjects include Spanish and Chemistry. An interesting fact is that I have been on an Alaskan cruise! I’m very excited to be Panhellenic Delegate for Alpha Xi Delta! I have held the position as Junior Panhellenic Delegate and have experience in what the Panhellenic Delegate does! I’m looking forward to attending CPH meetings and becoming more involved in Greek life!

Philanthropy Vice President

I am a sophomore pre-pharmacy student from Brandon, SD. I joined Alpha Xi Delta in the fall of 2016 and that is when I found some of my best friends. I love to go on adventures outside, bake/cook and watch a good movie on a rainy day. My love for this chapter and our philanthropy, Autism Speaks, grows more and more every day and if you asked me what my life would be like 5 years ago, I never would have imagined this amazing opportunity.

Tabby Townsend

Chapter Life Vice President

I am a sophomore Nursing major from Wausau, WI. I am involved in HEROH and the Hobo Day Committee. I love volunteering in the community and spending time with my Alpha Xi Delta sisters. I also enjoy binge watching Netflix and hanging out with my friends and family.

Miranda O'Bryan

Communications Vice President

I'm Miranda O'Bryan, a sophomore Journalism and History double major from Martin, South Dakota. I am also a member of the marketing team for the Hobo Day committee, a member of the SDSU women's choir, newly named Choralia, and was previously the Song chair for our chapter. I love to travel, read books, and watch way too many movies in my free time! My position this year is the Vice President of Communications. I oversee many different things for our chapter such as our social media posts and advertising for events.

Brianna Humphries

Finance and Operations Vice President

I am a sophomore Civil Engineering major from Aberdeen, SD. In my position, I oversee the chapter’s finances, attendance records, and operational affairs. I joined Alpha Xi Delta in the fall of 2016, and it has been the best decision I have made since entering college. Not only have I gained the best of friends, but I have also grown personally and professionally. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, befriending dogs, and watching Netflix!

Cassidy Stratman

Membership Vice President

I grew up outside of Rapid City, SD. I am a freshman pursuing a degree in Nursing with a Health Sciences minor here at SDSU. I find such a simple joy in surrounding myself with the people I love. You can often find me having movies nights with my friends, laughing until my stomach hurts, or just enjoying a snack. I love meeting new people and learning all about them, one of the biggest aspects that pushed me to join AXiD. Shortly after, I discovered my home-away-from-home as well as a group of spunky, intellectual, driven, indescribable women pushing each other to succeed. 

Kylee Essen

Foundation Support Director

I am a junior nursing major with Spanish and gerontology minor from Rosemount, Minnesota, and I currently serve as our chapter's Foundation Support Director. I love to watch Jacks football and basketball games and hang out with my friends during my free time. I am also an active member of the Honors College as well as a fundraising co-chair on the State A Thon executive board. As the Foundation Support Director, I act as the connecting link between our chapter and the Alpha Xi Delta Foundation, informing the chapter on the happenings at the Foundation.

I am a sophomore Art Education and Psychology major. I am from Sioux Falls, South Dakota I love to curl up with a good book and paint scenes from my adventures. I also love to kayak and spend time in the sun! Planning Sisterhoods is so much fun because I love to spend time doing new things with my sisters!

I am a junior Athletic Training major from Watertown, SD. I joined Alpha Xi Delta in the Fall of 2015 and I am so happy to call it my home. In my free time I like to cuddle with my puppy and watch some movies. I love trying new things and I hope to travel the world one day.

Hello! I’m Hannah Lund and I am a nursing major from Maple Grove, MN. I am currently one of two philanthropy co-chairs in Alpha Xi. In this position, we get to plan all sorts of events to raise funds and awareness for our beloved philanthropy Autism Speaks. In my free time, I love being outside, hanging out with friends and family, and enjoying live music.

I am from Sioux Falls, SD and I am a sophomore, Apparel Merchandising major with marketing and public relations minors. In my free time, I love spending time with friends and family, shopping, traveling, and listening to Chance the Rapper, as well as being involved in the Apparel Merchandising Association and intramural sports here on campus. I’m Aricka O’Gorman, a junior Athletic Training, Pre-Physical Therapy major with a minor in Health Science. I am originally from St. Peter, Minnesota. I am involved in other organizations, including the Pre-PT/OT Club, State-A-Thon, Athletic Training Students’ Association, and Order of Omega. I am an avid Netflix watcher, chocolate covered espresso bean eater who loves spending quality time with my loved ones.

I am a Junior Mathematics major with a concentration in financial engineering! I am from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Outside of my classes I am working as a business analyst, attending math club meetings, and participating in various campus activities like intramurals and CAPERS! I also enjoy going to SDSU football games, volunteering in the community, and cuddling with my adorable puppies.

This position includes overseeing stages of event planning for recruitment events, helps develop timing and logistics on recruitment night, and maintains an expense worksheet that coordinates with the MVP on budget allocation.

I am a sophomore Early Childhood Education major. I joined Alpha Xi Delta in the fall of 2016 and have found a home away from home. I am from a small town in NorthWest Iowa called Sioux Center. There isn't much to do there so In my spare time I like to read relax and eat!

My name is Tess Enstad and I am a Junior Sociology major here at SDSU. I am from Rapid City, South Dakota and initiated fall of 2015. In my free time I enjoy doing peoples hair and makeup and hanging out at Xi house with my sisters. I am so excited to be more involved with campus life as Campus Activities Director.

Meghan Glancey

Finance Director

My name is Meghan Glancey and I am a Human Biology (Pre-Medicine) and Spanish double major and Chemistry minor from Cottage Grove, Minnesota. I joined Alpha Xi Delta in the fall of 2016 and I have loved every minute of it. I am the Financial Director and I will be assisting the Finance and Operations Vice President with keeping accurate records, issuing billing and monitoring member accounts. On campus, I am a Community Assistant and I am a part of the American Medical Students Association, and Pre-Professional Club. Outside of school, I love traveling and exploring new places, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Kylie Barington

Intramural and Campus Involvement Chair

I am from Mitchell, SD, and I am currently majoring in Political Science with a Criminal Justice Minor. I am also involved in Criminal Justice club and intramural's on campus and I am in the South Dakota National Guard as a side career. I love to be outside, work out, and watch movies! I am currently the intramural/campus involvement chair which deals with putting together intramural teams within the chapter and including other chapters, and also keeping workout hours up to date for more points. I love this position because I always am doing intramural's and I love to workout and be active in these ways.

Brittany Tursam

External Communications Director

I am a sophomore Business Economics major with minors in Accounting and Banking and Financial Services from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. As the electronic communications director, I manage the chapter’s website and social media accounts. I also participate in Economics Club and intramurals. I joined Alpha Xi Delta in the Fall of 2016. I love to shop, watch Netflix, workout, and spend time with my friends and family.

Libby Groen

My name is Libby Groen, I am majoring in biotechnology and microbiology and minoring in chemistry and spanish. I am a member of the SDSU microbiology club. I am from Blomkest, MN and I enjoy riding horse, traveling, crafting, up cycling antiques, and spending time with my family, friends, and pets. I am the Alpha Xi Delta social chair and I’m so excited to plan socials with other organizations and have the opportunity to meet so many new people!

I am a sophomore Early Childhood/Elementary Education major and from Spencer, Iowa. On campus I’m involved in State-A-Thon, Student National Education Association, and Human Services Club. In my free time I love watching movies, baking, rollerblading, and spending time with my family and friends! Two of my favorite things include playing with dogs and eating all kinds of chocolate. I’ve loved my Alpha Xi Delta experience and can’t wait to see what the next few years hold!

Carley Schumacher

I am from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I am a Medical Laboratory Science and Pre-Physician Assistant major. I love outdoor activities, watching Netflix and taking naps. Naps are a necessity! I am currently the new 2017-2018 Chaplain. Within this position, I share inspiring/motivational quotes and bible versus during our weekly meetings. I am one of the sisters you can turn to for help, advice or if you ever need someone to talk to.

Maddi Hansen

I am a freshman music education major with a minor in English. Aside from AXiD, I am involved in Concert Choir and Choralia. My hobbies include watching Netflix, spending time with my friends and family, and reading any fiction book there is. SDSU has been a great place for me to grow as an individual and being a part of AXiD has only continued to bolster that; I am so grateful to be a part of the chapter as Assistant Song Leader! Beth and I pick a song to practice each week during Chapter meetings so everyone knows them for future references! I also bring Beth coffee and clean up after her.

I am very excited for this position since this year it is our 50th Founder's Day so I get to plan a very special weekend full of cool events for our sisters!
